How to catch a Kanda

Crumbling, shards of glass, clumps of dirt and discharged pieces of bricks laid in our wake as we fought the Akuma. Kanda jumped trying to use the sky as another way of an advantage but again as he thought he had a clean shot the Akuma would dodge everything with ease, smashing Kanda’s attacks over and over again almost like a child playing with a toy.

“TCH, isn’t there a way to fucking kill this thing?!” Kanda began to infuse himself in his rage. “What do you expect? Seriously we’re fighting in such a small space!” I spat, you’d think he’d use his brain a little before snapping or hissing!

“WHAT DID YOU SAY SHINJIN!”  As these words were sliced across the cold breezy air I instantly put my arms to protect myself “HEY DON’T GO SHOUTING AT ME YOU BAKA! At least think about it before throwing Mugen about! hontōni!” I began to spit back I don’t care if he really is the devil theirs people around plus we’ve practically destroyed quarter of the town already!  

“Ma, ma calm down or we might not die by the Akuma but by Yuu instead, Ne Pandy-chan Hontōni Onegai no more fighting!” Lavi began hiding behind me. “Using me as a meat shield huh Pirate boy?” I began to form a fist but as I began to descend my fight upon Lavi’s face the Akuma threw down its fists, striking an attack so fierce anyone caught was dead instantly, Probably, aha?

“Ne, Kanda I know you don’t like the idea but we need to work together unlike you or Pirate boy my Innocence isn’t as easy to control I need to know what you guys are going to do or I might accidently shish kabob both of you!” shish kabob wasn’t exactly the words I was looking for but it helps to form the mental image that could happen.

“Shish kabob, Tondemonai!! PANDY-CHAN I’m not a Kebab you know!” Lavi began to panic but quickly came back to his senses “What do you mean hard to control Pandy-chan?”  Curious and somewhat concerned “TCH, it’s not my fault the Shinjin can’t control her Innocence properly, don’t get in my way!” As these words came flying towards me, a gust of wind was left behind as Kanda yet   again set his sights on the Akuma.

“Ne, Pandy-chan?” Lavi asked poking my face to my retaliation I instantly slapped him.
“My innocence isn‘t exactly think and control, I’ve got to control my emotions as well – If my emotions are even the slightest bit out of unison it’ll go haywire. That’s why I need Kanda the baka to help me out a little, you heard Komui-san say I’m the best person for this Ninmu! But I can’t do much about it if he keeps getting in the way!” I began to become angry, every little annoyance is reflected in my innocence I can place my innocence in an almost standby mode which allows me to cope with my  emotions  and my thoughts but it doesn’t do much good  when there’s  people jumping around in every different direction.

As I was thinking this a plan popped into my head just as it did I turned and stared at Lavi “Hey, Pandora-Chan your smiles a tad bit creepy what are you thinking about?” Panic set into his facial muscles knowing full well that whatever I was thinking of it wasn’t a good idea.

“Hey Lavi?” I asked.

“What Pandora-Chan?” His voice cracked a little as it cracked I made a little smirk “Want to play catch a flying Yuu?” as I spoke these words Lavi trying hard not to burst into laughter “How are we going to catch a flying Yuu, pft?”

“With my innocence, that’s how, I’m able to use it freely as I can as long as I have enough concentration right? So all I need to do is not get distracted by anything if I catch him we’ll be able to work together?” I looked at Lavi trying to understand what was going through his monkey brain “But Pandora-Chan you do know once you let go of him, he’ll kill both of us?” Lavi’s face went pure white. At that thought placed into my brain a frown appeared upon my face, he’s got a point but if we don’t try the plan out no one in this town will survive, Yang needs to survive! “We’ll think about it later”.

A groan rolled up threw his throat a muttered “Fine”. As I heard his confirmation that’ll he’ll help I began to awaken my bloody cherry innocence again I closed my eyes tightly and began to concentrate, after a few seconds went by a felt a little twinge in my body “It’s done, Pirate boy” I sighed a little it may not look like it but re-activation my innocence takes a lot out of my body, Lavi jumped Into action activating his own innocence, he began chanting loudly “Big hammer, little hammer -  grow, grow, grow!” as he chanted his little weird sentence his hammer  began to grow at an enormous speed so this is the amazing Bookman hammer, huh? As I again returned  my sight in front of me, trying to find my prey aka Yuu Kanda I flung my arms out directly in front of me and shouted “Attack Cherry”  a high pitched screech began to form from my bloody innocence.

As the screech pierced every inch of mine and Lavi’s body it began its course “Lavi I’ll use my arms to control my innocence for the moment so you know where I’m aiming and moving to, got it?” I questioned his intelligence but I knew that his far exceeded my own. A smile appeared on his face “I think that’s the first time I’ve heard you speak to me nicely as well as using my name!” I could see from his face he was well a truly happy about this “Concentrate you Baka”. As I spoke he hurdled forward towards the Akuma and kanda. I sighed again and began to fling my arms right, left,  up, down Kanda  didn’t seem to fully grasp yet that I was actually trying to catch him instead of attacking the Akuma but when he does I hope I catch him in time before getting butchered myself.

My blood began to spiral upwards following the lead of my hands and feet, I threw my arms left while stomping my right foot down hard hurdling up the speed of my innocence in the process just as the speed took flight Lavi was hurled in the way, lucky I wasn’t caught off guard and quickly moved my arms into a cradle position, softly catching Lavi in mid fall “THANKS PANDY!” I could see a hand waving back and forth over the side of the hand shaped blood I pushed my arms forward a tiny bit giving Lavi more force behind him, giving his attacks a fiercer blow. Kanda began descending down a tall building right above the Akuma, NOW I thought! Just as Kanda leapt from the building I pushed my hands firmly flat one up and one down straight towards Kanda, I didn’t mean to but the impact was well more urm fiercer than I expected without thinking about it I retreated my innocence back a little to make sure I didn’t plummet him into rubble but as soon as I heard him shout “SHINJIN” I knew it was time “NOW PANDORA-CHAN!” I instantly descended my innocence down onto Kanda I didn’t want to force him but I had no choice in the matter “GOMENASAI KANDA!” As I shouted my innocence began to slim and snake itself over Kanda’s body  forcefully stopping his movements when I knew I had completely had hold of him I made a fist with my right hand to keep him from  getting out with my other hand I cupped it over the top to stop him finding a way out.

“LAVI NOW!” I shouted upwards towards the now flying look alike squirrel Pirate “OI SHINJIN WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU’RE FUCKING DOING?!” the barking kept going and it got louder as my innocence approached,  fear began to set into my limbs I’m  going to get chopped up aren’t I? God help me! I parted my hands and allowed Kanda’s face to be seen “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!” those piercing eyes I’m  seriously glad staring cannot kill anyone, I gulped “Shut it you idiot thanks  to you, I now have to work together with the Pirate boy BUT at least he helps out you know?  Now listen Kanda because I know your ears work perfectly fine” I smirked a little, it felt good to order Kanda about  even for a few seconds “I’m going to let go of you but  you need to listen to me, I’m not doing this for my own good you know I’m doing this for the Ninmu!” I sighed and then looked at Kanda again “So please Kanda listen!” The way I said this was more of a pled than an order.

“Tch” Instantly his face turned in the opposite direction “WHAT ARE YOU A FRICKIN’ KID?!  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” before actually thinking about what I was saying it all came out.  “Pandora-Chan, Hurry I can’t keep this up for much longer!” I began panting after shouting my lungs off of Kanda “Yeah, yeah I heard you” I clicked my tongue and looked at Kanda “Are you going to be a kid about it or an exorcist?” I really am questioning why I think this guy is hot. He began looking at me “Get me out of this… Now” I knew from the look on his face he still wanted to kill me but the fire in his eyes were gone. I began releasing my right hand slowly if I completely release the pressure off of his body from my innocence it could course some internal injuries so I’ve gotta be careful, I looked at Kanda and a fluttering sensation began to rise inside of me, Kanda began to walk quite fast towards me, my face began to feel hot but it wasn’t what I exactly wanted; He grabbed the collar of my t-shirt and began lifting me off of my own feet “Wha” I couldn’t breathe!

“Kaa- Kand-a!” I panicked is he really going to kill me? As I began to think, I started falling I quickly braced myself for the impact but I was again grabbed but this time Kanda had caught me around the waist. “Whaa- What was that all about?” coughing and gasping for as much air as I could.  “You’re punishment now get on with it Shinjin or I’ll kill you for real”.  I stared at his face “Okay, okay I regret what I did, big time okay?” I looked at the ground “Get on with it”. I looked up into his face,  Kanda  had his eyes shut I silently whispered “Thank  you” to him and then began explaining  what the plan.
